I have been to the Edelweiss over a number of years and never fail to be impressed by the professionalism of all of the staff and the warmth of the welcome. I cannot think of another hotel where you are made to feel so much like a part of the family or where so much effort is taken to ensure that your holiday is special, Thank you for all of the happy memories

They look after you like you are part of the family with lifts to and from the ski lifts, train station, help with ski hire etc. The food in the restaurant is good and also good value considering the prices in restaurants around the town. “Another Glowing Review. Incredible Hospitality”

Wow. Just wow. I endured 9 hours of jetlag and a Bahn train shutdown that cancelled all trains out of Germany. Wow. Just wow. I endured 9 hours of jetlag and a Bahn train shutdown that cancelled all trains out of Germany. Alas, I arrived Friday morning instead of Thursday night, but the trials and tribulations of the journey melted away the second I stepped off the train. I didn't even have to walk 15 feet until Peter (the owner of the property) greeted me and started carrying my skis and luggage to the shuttle. As an American, I was completely unaccustomed to the level of hospitality that would be the norm during my stay. Pick you up right when your train arrives (one day late)? SURE! Make you a sandwich after check-in before you hit the mountain? SURE! Change your currency? SURE! Put your ski pass on your room bill? SURE! Give you a ride down to the mountain whenever you want it? SURE! Pick you up from skiing whenever you call them? SURE! Stamps for postcards to multiple different countries? SURE! Turn the sauna back on for just a little while longer? SURE! Help you book your train ticket to the airport? SURE! Bring you beers without you having to get out of the hot tub? SURE! Make your bed exactly the way you want it made? SURE! Cheers to Peter and Suzen for their incredible attitudes and world-class hospitality! I only wish I could have stayed longer. Will have to come back...

Had the lovely experience of staying at Hotel Edelweiss on Saturday January 13th. Even though it was for only one night, it was a wonderful stay. The hotel stands just above the center town about 100' up from the street level. The building is from 1906 I believe and it still very much holds its original Swiss charm and features. High ceilings and decorative trim abound as well as well aged hardwood floors and the inviting fireplace in the large and open sitting room. We sat by the fire for a bit and just enjoyed the quiet ambience of hotel Edelweiss. Our room was very clean and cozy, typical Swiss hotel style. We had a great view of the foothills and mountain peaks as you can see in Engleberg and the surrounding Titlis Mountain range. The staff were very friendly and helpful with questions of what to do and where to eat... breakfast was included in our stay and the buffet style was incredible. More so than usual in Switzerland and Europe in general. So many more choices of breads, meats, cheeses and jams than is typical. Plus, scrambled eggs, hardboiled eggs and of course endless coffee and drinks. The food was delicious and all the girls of the dining room/kitchen staff were so nice and accommodating. Engleberg is quite a beautiful village and place to visit and of course to live, if one is lucky enough! A short walk to the Mt Titilis cable car took us up to the top of Mount Titlis and it was amazing, 10,000 feet up the views were absolutely stunning, the air was crisp and the day went much too fast. Engleberg truly is the Mountain of Angels...
