“Lovely stay”

I went there with my husband and stayed only for a night. We tried the sauna, the hot tub and also had a great dinner at their restaurant. We saw the cruise ships go by the water in front of the property. The pleople working there were wonderful. We had a really good time.

What a lovely hotel! Our overwhelming impression was one of homely luxury. The hotel is very relaxed and provided a perfect contrast to some of the more corporate hotels that we stayed in on the rest of our mini tour of Scandinavia. The room was lovely and comfortable. The restaurant was relaxed with a good selection of lovely food and very good suggested wine matches- not fine dining , just very nice and reasonably priced and perfect for this kind of hotel. We sat on the terrace and enjoyed drinks in the afternoon or before dinner. I had the best martini I have tasted and have manged to re-create this at home! Excellent staff at reception organised kayaking with a local company for us (can recommend). It took us 2 hrs to circumnavigate the island (we're 57 and haven't kayaked for years!). We used the sauna down by the water and had a (very rapid!) dip in the sea. There were bikes available to hire from the hotel by the hour to explore the island. Lots of footpaths provide options to explore. The ferry pulls up right in front of the hotel providing easy access to other islands and to/from Stockholm. The ferry from Stockholm was direct and took 2.5hr. The return required a change (15min wait) and took a total of 4.5hr -but both enjoyable boat trips (snacks available on board) There is also a car ferry to the adjacent island so it's well connected. Overall the most memorable and nicest hotel we stayed in.

“LOVED IT!”

We had the most incredible time. We met up with 10 friends from Sydney, Paris and London and had the most amazing time. The floating sauna, outdoor spa and swimming area so special. Honestly, one of the most memorable weekends we have ever had! Rent the bikes and explore, the town is gorgeous.

We chose Hotell Furusund for our wedding celebration last September. Malin and the team created the dream weekend for us and our 50 guests (most of them had traveled from the UK to be there). We chose Hotell Furusund for our wedding celebration last September. Malin and the team created the dream weekend for us and our 50 guests (most of them had traveled from the UK to be there). We hired all of the rooms in the hotel for the weekend, and we also used the main restaurant for a pre-wedding dinner, the grounds for reception canapés/drinks, the Orangery for the wedding dinner, and we used the hot tub / sauna on the jetty. All of the staff were super welcoming and flexible, and Malin went out of her way to help us organise all of the parts of the celebration, as well as recommending outside suppliers where needed (wedding cake and DJ). The team created such a lovely and fun atmosphere for us, it was exactly what we had imagined. The rooms were lovely and very comfortable, the area and views from the hotel are beautiful, and the food was seasonal and totally delicious. We completely trusted their recommendations for the food and we were not disappointed. We had so many guests say that it was the best and most memorable food they had had at a wedding! We also know that a couple of our guests have already booked to return to Hotell Furusund this Summer. Thank you for making our wedding weekend so perfect and unique - we can't wait to return in the near future.
