What an amazing experience we had! Everything about our 4 days and 4 nights was truly memorable. We are Mark and Deirdre, a husband and wife celebrating Deirdre's 60th birthday with a special trip and boy, was it special! The staff are so nice, always smiling, extremely helpful, they all know your names from the moment you arrive, and go out of their way to make you feel at home (special mention to Phume, Molly and Suzy). The accommodations are fabulous, extremely private, quiet, clean and comfortable. The food is gourmet-quality, varied and delicious, and chef "Wasabi" takes time to meet with the guests to answer questions and ensure we are enjoying our meals. We each took advantage of the spa treatments which were lovely and relaxing. As for the game drives - we ventured out on morning and afternoon drives with Shaun and Jeffrey as our guide and tracker/spotter team. They have years of experience, abundant enthusiasm, a sense of humor, tremendous knowledge and are fearless when chasing down the big five (yes, we saw them all)! We got up close and personal and chased down animals doing a bit of "bush-bashing" in our jeep. So thrilling and highly recommended!! Best experience of our lives! From the very beginning of getting to Simbavati our experience was smooth and easy. The staff were all exceptionally warm and friendly. The Accomadation itself was amazing! The game drives were fantastic. We saw the big 5 many times over and so many more animals. The guide and tracker were full of information and super lovely. The food was exceptional. I can’t fault a single thing. I would highly recommend Simbavati.

“Another Fantastic Experience”

This was our fourth time at the lodge (stayed for 7 nights), and our trip was simply magnificent. We stayed in the Jacana suite, which sits on the waterhole, the suite was very luxurious, very clean and so comfortable. We especially loved sitting on the deck as it was so quiet and peaceful. The lodge is well protected and is exceptionally safe. The drives were absolutely excellent, our ranger Sean and our tracker, Jeffery were exceptional, their knowledge of the wildlife and the Bush is phenomenal. The bush was unusually green and thick for June, but the the guys worked very hard to provide superb animal sightings, Leopard (4), Lion, (14), Elephant, Buffalo, lots of Rhino, all of the antelopes and even Genet, Jackal, Mongoose and A HONEY BADGER. The beauty and diversity of birdlife was most astounding. The highlight was an elephant carcass, which was covered by 20 plus Hyena and three species of vulture. Everything is done to an excellent level, all of the staff were very polite and professional, but is the little personal details that make the lodge such a fabulous place to visit. Pretty and Tabo, the Chefs, Richmond, our outstanding Butler, Molly and her wonderful staff. The food is very good, fresh, and simple, but magnificently prepared and presented. The waterside dinner on our last night was magical and very touching, it made us feel very special. Many thanks to Colin and his team, another memorable holiday for Sue and myself, I could have written pages, praising the lodge, the animals, the beautiful Bush and the wonderful people, but, the best compliment we can provide is booking a return for next year.
