We booked two rooms for two people, but we also hosted a dinner for 48 people. This review is about is about both. The booking process was sooth from the start, with great help and support from Mr. Mohamed Dammak, the Directeur Commercial, and Ms. Fatimaezzahra Abou, who is in charge of Reservations. We found the location to be idea; it is right in front of the sea (where there is a pedestrian road parallel to the sea) but at the same time not too far from the city centre and the lovely Portuguese City. The view of the sea from the window is direct and beautiful, especially in the early hours of the morning. The front desk staff that we encountered – Anwar, Salma and Khawla – were all very polite and helpful. They never hesitate to help. The food was visibly very clean, delicious, with generous portions. And the staff – including the chefs – were very kind and helpful. They include: Ms. Amal, Mr. Anwar, Mr. Abdulsamad, Mr. Yasin, Mr. Mehdi, Mr. Jawad, Mr. Sufyan, Mr. Karim, and Ms. Nuhaila, as well as chefs Tarki and Zainab. On the night of the special dinner (for 48 guests), the manager of the hotel, Mr. Rachid, and manager of the restaurant, Mr. Mansour, both personally came to see us and make sure that everything is at should be. We were extremely grateful for their kind attention. While every staff member we encountered was helpful, two stand out in particular in their support: Ms. Fatimaezzahra and Ms. Amal. They did not know the meaning of impossible. Because I wish the hotel further success, I wish to make some suggestions on the few things that they could improve on: 1-The laundry service (which was very reasonably priced) needs to be more efficient. The 24hr laundry service took more than 48hrs and until the clothes were retuned, it was not clear when they would be ready. There were no forms to fill for the laundry; you had to put the clothes in a bag and bring them to (and collect them from) reception. 2-The towels were clean but looked they had been washed many times in the past. The two aforementioned issues could be linked to budgetary considerations, and they do not reflect on the whole great service of the hotel and its outstanding staff. We intend to stay at the same hotel the next time we come to El Jadida.
