Gardaland Magic Hotel

The rooms are impressive and very clean. Our 5-year old loved the Enchanted Forest Room. There is a large shower but no bath for young children. The pool is big and clean - you need a swim hat but baggy swim shorts are allowed. The shuttle bus makes it very convenient for visiting Gardaland and getting to public bus stops. The music plays around the hotel grounds until midnight, which can be irritating at bedtime. Dogs are allowed to stay and our neighbour left their dog in the room alone howling and crying at 9pm. We stayed for a week and felt a bit trapped - only the main entrance is kept open which means walking a long way round to walk to the nearest village. Breakfast is €16 for an adult, €12 for a child. Buffet dinner in the Wonder Palace restaurant is €35 for an adult and €23 for a child (our child eats very little). Drinks are extra. There are no restaurants or supermarkets nearby to walk to - the hotel is isolated. We bought a bus pass for the week but wish we hired a car. The buses are always late (30 mins) and there is rarely anywhere to sit at the bus stop. At weekends, the buses are packed and people stand for long journeys.

We booked this hotel to be close to Gardaland and bought it with tickets to the park for two days. It was a very good and worthwhile deal. The proximity to the park is excellent and the shuttles are very comfortable. We could enjoy the park with ease and do what we wanted to do in two days at our own pace. The hotel itself is beautiful and special for kids, the themed rooms are very cute, however, don't expect much on the culinary side. Breakfast is so so, and we had one buffet dinner at Wonder Bar restaurant in Gardaland hotel, which was terrible, and we paid EUROS 99 for it. A complete .waste of money So, in total, the premises are beautiful and serene, the rooms are cute, the whole pacakge with the park is nice and worthwhile. If you are going to Gardaland with kids, it's definitely a good place to stay.

This would probably be okay if you were coming for a couple of days and just going to the Gardaland Park. We stayed for a whole week and felt rather trapped and isolated. We bought a weekly bus pass which got us everywhere we wanted to go but there was a lot of waiting. Hiring a car would definitely have been better!! You can walk to Cavalcasselle (15 minutes) or Gardaland (there’s a path along the edge of the main road with a hedge between) and there are Lime bikes too. We are out (off site) each day which was a good move. The last evening we had the buffet dinner in the Wonder Hotel, which was AWFUL!! (and cost double what we had been paying in restaurants in town). The food was below average but the worst part was the other guests around us….
