This hotel is right by Chinatown & 1 block away from Little Italy. It is about 30 mins from JFK Airport depending on traffic. We stayed on the 8th floor. The room was great. The bed was so comfortable and big enough for two people. The bathroom was modern with shampoo/body wash provided. There was also a hairdryer and fresh towels provided every day. There was tea and coffee along with sugars and cups. No kettle, we had a hot water dispenser which you had to fill but pretty straight forward to use. The TV had a good selection of channels. Sufficient bedside lighting and curtains were dark so kept the morning light from waking us up too early. The A/C was good too. Overall, the room was excellent and I have no complaints. The housekeeping service was excellent too. Whenever we would come back to our room after a long day of exploring, it always smelt like perfume/flowers. We had breakfast included in our stay. A great selection, make your own waffles/pancakes. Eggs, Sausage, Potato & Beans along with toast machine, bagels, and muffins. All condiments like butter, jam, peanut butter, honey etc. Yoghurts, compotes, cheese, ham & fruit. Cutlery is supplied through a dispenser, I would have liked metal cutlery instead of plastic due to the effect that has on the environment. Breakfast area was small but clean. I had no issues with the breakfast at all, I enjoyed it every morning. The location of the hotel is excellent, our nearest subway was Grand Street approximately 2 min walk away. We rode the subway daily as it was only 4 stops on the orange line to Times Square. We used a 7 day Metro Card. The area itself was very quiet which I loved and I felt safe during the evening. We ate once in Little Italy (Lombardi's - Best pizza ever!) Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had to cut our holiday short due to a travel restriction. The clerk at the desk advised me to use my hotel phone to ring my airline provider as it was a free number (I didn't know this so was very grateful for that information). It was a very stressful situation as I have never had to change a flight before. Every morning, the staff would greet you with a smile. Upon check out, the maid checked in on us whilst we were packing to leave to ask if everything was okay, did the room need cleaning etc. Overall, a great hotel, away from the hustle and bustle of busier parts of New York such as Times Square but close enough. There were a lot of authentic little eateries locally which we never got to visit which was disappointing - One day, we will be back! Thank you for your hospitality Best Western!
