My husband and I, along with our Golden Retriever, spent a long early May weekend at The Hummingbird Inn that was perfect in every respect: lovely Victorian house with beautiful gardens, an inviting wrap-around porch, artistic inner decor, comfortable clean room, and a superb unique breakfast prepared by the talented chef-owner Eric. He and the manager, Mary, and the rest of the staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming, making their guests feel very much at home. Even Eric's dog, Birdie, shared her toys with our dog who was allowed in the lounge and breakfast room. When they say dog friendly, they mean it! The inn is conveniently located near Easton's historic downtown with many wonderful restaurants, superb art galleries, and gardens. It's an art lover's paradise. It's also within easy driving distance from Blackwater Wildlife Refuge with its wildlife drive and hiking trails and Assateague Island National Seashore with its free-roaming horses, both of which we visited. We were the only first-time guests at Hummingbird that weekend, but we'll be back to join the long list of repeat guests!

The Hummingbird Inn was absolutely beautiful and 1st class accommodations. Mr. Levinson presented us with an amazing gourmet breakfast. The Inn is just a short walk to town past Victorian styled homes to specialty shops, spas and fine dining. Our room was spacious and decorated with very special touches that made us feel at home, as well, as making us feel like special guests. I highly recommend a visit to Hummingbird Inn.

Arriving at the Hummingbird Inn to a lovely, landscaped property was just the beginning of a positive experience. Mary welcomed us and showed us around the Inn and pointed out the amenities of our room and the common spaces, like the porch, the sitting room areas, the bar, and the breakfast room. She also told us about the Rails to Trails walking path for our dog. We felt very welcome. After dinner and a show at the nearby Avalon Theater, we came back and enjoyed a drink at the bar with the owner before heading to bed. Breakfast was divine, provided by owner/chef Eric. Our stay could not have been nicer, and the owner and staff were lovely. I look forward to our next stay. It's lovely to have a place to enjoy in downtown historical Easton.
