We stayed in 4 cities in IM, and this hotel was easily the best! Very helpful and attentive staff who spoke reasonable English. They helped me order Pizza on Eleme, from Pizza Hut - good pizza and the kids needed something plain! the rooms were clean, did not smell of smoke. The beds were some of those gorgeous sink into the pillows hotel beds, better than most hotels anywhere! Breakfast had western options, although the staff could do with some practice with the coffee machine, and cold milk option would be good for cereal - although when we asked in Chinese they gave us a box of UHT just for us!! The orange juice was diluted, more like squash. We only found 1 knife in 2 mornings!, But the bread was nice, there was a toaster, butter and jam, so they nearly managed my 'Western Breakfast golden 5 - Bread/Toaster/Butter/Jam/KNIFE!'....which very few hotels in China, even in Shanghai Manage! There is also a swimming pool in Tower 5, bit cold....but nice. Well done QING SHAN I would stay again.

“Impressive rooms and restaurants in a huge garden”

Our guide kept reminding us not to expect much of this local 5* hotel but we were much impressed by its overall! The hotel is located in a huge garden, the lobby and vicinity are well decorated and the restaurant serving hot pot sets also meets and exceeds our expectation.

This is a well-designed hotel with an impressive lobby and professional approach to service. It features a lovely Mongolian as well as a Chinese and Western restaurant. Unfortunately there is no room service available. The location of this property means you cannot walk to a nearby shop or restaurant late at night and pick something up, so plan ahead if you fancy a late-night meal in your room. The other issue is that the hotel is unable to process foreign (=Western) credit cards. I was told this was an issue "only today" but it seems at least one other reviewer here had the same problem. Since my room was prepaid online and I was unwilling to use a Chinese debit card they waived the requirement for a deposit, which I found to be an acceptable solution. If the hotel addressed this and implemented proper room service I'd say this would be an excellent place to stay.

A new hotel with nice rooms which have all the western trimmings and a lot of staff on hand. But there are problems if the hotel wants to be known as an International hotel. To start with, it is not well signposted - the hotel seems to be in a Conference Centre Complex/park that taxis find difficult to locate. And worst of all, at check-in, with 5 staff attending to us, it finally emerged that Amex, Mastercard and Visa were not accepted (yes - not even Visa)!! So - the obvious question is - why not tell people on booking? Fortunately one of our party had a Chinese credit card. I would like to report the well-meant service as a strength, but its not - its incredibly slow. The desire to present food attractively is quite understandable, but it should not delay things unduly. Our afternoon tea, on departure, took 45 minutes to deliver! We had to leave it unfortunately, as to stay and eat it would have meant we missed our plane. Most difficult of all, the location of the hotel means that there are no passing cabs. On one occasion we were driven to the nearby main road in a golf buggy so we could hail our own cab. We really had to make a fuss to get cabs out the front for departure to the airport. I think the hotel's specialty might be conferences and tour groups. This is a fine thing to specialize in - but then, please say so, so there is no confusion.
