That is good place for long weekend especially on summer, also there is a BBQ outside, that is good spot for family and friends gathering, we booked a sea-view suit this time, highly recommend if no budget limited

Honestly…pretty impressed by this Boly Doubletree outside Shanwei. It made a great 2.5 hour weekend road trip destination from Shanghai. Having stayed at a decent number of these internationally branded Chinese hotels created to support real estate projects, some things stood out here. — Must be good management/attention to detail: We can after one of the COVID waves at the beginning of a holiday weekend, and you could tell things had been slow. But - instead of the typical solution of turning off as many lights as possible, cutting back on cleaning etc - this hotel was really trying. Different promotional packages, good upkeep of the facilities, all outlets open etc. And even things like breakfast - they clearly weren’t skimping; actually more local additions then you usually get and probably better quality overall than I’ve seen at even higher end brands. — Enough around hotel: This is part of a large real estate developer China Poly project that has built multiple towers around, and has more on the way. Like everywhere, occupancy of some of these buildings isn’t great. But there is enough commercial activity around - restaurants convenience stores etc that you still have options. And the landscaping and path areas are quite nicely maintained - Nice beach (but some unclearly enforced swimming restrictions). Beach right in front of the hotel has pretty nice sand, and looks like it could be nice. We had a bit of a rainy spring weekend so didn’t try to swim - but I would caution there were lots of signs up cautioning against swimming…would be interesting to see how that plays out in the summer. Pools though of the hotel looked pretty solid (though can imagine get crowded if hotel actually full). Room what you’d expect for a 2019 opening modern property - clean and comfortable. Nice balcony and view of the ocean. Nio chargers in the basement if you need. Overall this seems to be one of the better picks for a Shenzhen beach weekend chain hotel stay. Not as much of a scene as Dapeng Xiaojing Dameisha closer to the city, but hotel honestly probably better. This is the second Eastern Guangdong Doubletree that has impressed me (Doubletree Huidong also a nice property with pools on the ocean, but doesn’t have beach.). Go Doubletree - impressive upgrade for the brand vs many international/US properties.

Stayed here for 2 nights on my road trip across China to focus on some work, and it served its purpose. This property is a no-frills resort that really specializes on family fun. The hotel is right on the beach with direct beach access. It has several pools and an arcade as well. As a Diamond member, my standard room was upgraded to one with a beach view. Nothing spectacular - no suite upgrade despite the hotel more than half empty during my stay (and suites were available). That was disappointing, but I’m still grateful for the upgrade. I had free breakfast as a Diamond member, but the quality was pretty average. There was a huge spread with made-to-order noodles, which was the best part. But the chefs there were incredibly rude and impatient with my order (as a non native speaker, I often ask questions about the order process). And the entire buffet had a noticeable lack of meat. There were tons of veggies and carbs, but only sausages and minced pork for meat options. Overall, if you’re looking for a Hilton resort, skip this one. It’s nothing to write home about.
