“Colorful hotel”

This hotel is 2 years old, both key fobs didn’t work, three times my husband had to go down to reset. The problem was the door not the key fobs. Room 402. Nice lobby to hang out in. You get free coffee and tea. Nothing in the room. Gas station next door with subway. Boston pizza on the corner. No dresser for the clothes. Get 2 pillows each but they are so soft that you have to bend in half. There is a shelves for clothes under the bench. Which we put our bags. The end tables are mismatched. One has a shelf and has a wood look to match paneling on wall and the other is a green pedestal table to watch the window blinds. Huge tv. A fridge. The heater was so noisy I had to turn off. Low water pressure and water level in toilet. Had to flush 3 times. No closet. 6 large hooks on wall. If you have dresses or a suit you will have to use the hooks on the wall or the bar with hangers but I don’t want to see my clothes hanging up. So I’m living out of my suitcase. I like a closet. I never had a room without a closet. The ironing board and iron are hanging on the wall. Decor it’s lovely but functionally it’s not my cup of tea. Breakfast at 6-9. Breakfast buffet has cereal, oatmeal in a pot, fruit, a pancake maker that make 2 large pancakes at a time. You push the button and you can see inside the machine how it’s done.There is scrambled eggs, boiled eggs and boiled sausages. No baked goods like muffins, cookies, croissants, cinnamon rolls. Only sliced bread and bagels. No bacon or hash browns. There is a juice machine and you get orange, apple or cranberry. Noisy outside because lots of traffic and cars coming to the gas station next door. It’s in a good area with Tim Hortons, Walmart, subway in the gas station. Boston pizza close by. I liked the shower, handrail, little shelf for stuff, 3 dispensers on the wall. Towels- 2 regular towels and 3 hand towels. I like a body towel. They clean room every other day. There is a desk area.

Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Muskoka. Hotel conveniently located close to Highway 11. Rooms are on the smaller side but bed was comfortable. Shower very good with nice toiletries. Could use more bedside outlets as had to unplug lamp and clock radio. Breakfast was underwhelming. Best … Más

Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Muskoka. Hotel conveniently located close to Highway 11. Rooms are on the smaller side but bed was comfortable. Shower very good with nice toiletries. Could use more bedside outlets as had to unplug lamp and clock radio. Breakfast was underwhelming. Best option likely a toasted bagel and yogurt. There is a nice new patio area outside with comfortable seating area and a firepit.

If you had asked me night one, I would have said that we were pleasantly suprised. It was clean, quiet, modern, comfortable. However, day 2 was a bit different, the first of which nearly ruined our whole trip: 1. There is something wrong with the ventilation or levels of chlorine in the pool. You could smell the vapours as soon as you walked in, they burnt the throat. All of the kids in the pool were HACKING, it was crazy. Not a single kid wasn't coughing their brains out. My son's eyes were so badly burnt by the chlorine he could barely open them for the rest of the weekend. He is a really tough kid and they were bothering him so much. 2. There were hockey teams staying as of Friday. I get the excitement of a tournament and don't expect complete silence, screaming through the halls until 11pm is a bit much. I had to call down twice and the staff seemed to give zero sh*ts. I also think that 9pm is more reasonable for quiet time than 10pm. Also, it would have been nice to be put in a room away from the elevators (we were straight across) knowing that a hockey team would be coming in the day after us and coming and going a lot.
