I travel to Brazil a few times a year for business. In past years I have stayed at a variety of hotels, but this time came back to Travel Inn Wise. It is a lovely hotel, not a Five Star by any means, but overall quite nice and comfortable. What makes this hotel better than the rest is the location. Being in Cuidade Novo on the north side of Indaiatuba, it is close to everything you need without needing to drive or take a taxi. There is a grocery 2 blocks away and within 4 blocks are a host of restaurants offering different cuisines. The area around the hotel is well lit and felt safe to walk through, even at night (of course, I'm careful to not walk down dark streets with dangers lurking nearby). By contrast, at my previous hotel in the southern part of the city, other than the Polo Mall, there was NOTHING close by. There are many good things about Travel Inn Wise: - the outside of the hotel is inviting and well kept up - Staff greets you warmly when you arrive, whether checking in or just coming back for the day. Everyone is very friendly. Many of the front desk staff speak english or spanish, which makes up for my ruim portugues! - Rooms are not huge, but are clean and have the basics. The bed is comfortable, the shower works and offers hot water! - Temperature control is limited-- if it is hot outside the a/c works great, but it was cold and I couldn't get the system to provide heat. - TV choices are pretty limited if you don't speak much portugues or don't like futbol, but the internet is free and worked well. I do wish they offered a few more channels in other languages. - Parking is free in a downstairs and secure garage. - Breakfast is pretty basic buffet style with european and brazilian choices-- plus bacon and scrambled eggs for americanos. I loved the fresh bread and cheeses, but the best was the fresh brewed coffee with hot milk! - I did eat dinner one night in the hotel as the weather was cold and windy. Dinner choices are limited, but I had a lovely filet mignon in madeira sauce and it was very good-- quite tender and not overcooked. Dessert was a dreamy chocolate cake with cream. Overall highly recommended as your place to stay in Indaiatuba.
